LACTIC ACID
It is a multifunctional ingredient used as a preservative, exfoliant, moisturizer, and to acidify formulations. In the body, it is present in the blood and muscle tissue as a product of glucose and glycogen metabolism. It is also a component of the skin's natural moisturizing factor. Lactic acid has better water-binding properties than glycerin. Studies show that lactic acid can increase the stratum corneum's ability to retain water. Lactic acid is used to reduce the signs of aging, wrinkles, and fine lines, and make the skin softer and smoother.
PULLULAN
It is a unicellular green microalgae that can live in both fresh and marine waters. It is very rich in nutrients such as amino acids, vitamins, polysaccharides, and lipids, and is therefore a staple in the diet of many aquatic organisms. Nannochloropsis oculata extract is therefore rich in nutrients as well as polysaccharides, which, together with pullulan (a natural polysaccharide produced by the fungus Aureobasidium pullulans), provide a firming and hydrating effect when applied to the skin.
MACROCYSTIS PYRIFERA EXTRACT
Macrocystis pyrifera is a giant laminar marine algae found throughout the Pacific Ocean. It is rich in nutrients and polysaccharides, particularly polymannuronates, which, combined with hydrolyzed wheat proteins, give the complex its film-forming and hydrating properties.
ORNITHINE
Ornithine is an amino acid, biotechnologically obtained from corn and potato starch, that positively influences various metabolic processes related to lipid accumulation in adipocytes. Specifically, it helps stimulate the maturation of pre-adipocytes into adipocytes, stimulates adipogenesis (the process of lipid synthesis), and inhibits lipolysis (the process opposite to adipogenesis), resulting in a plumping effect. The unique ionosome encapsulation technique also improves ornithine delivery. *Efficacy is not guaranteed 100% and may vary from person to person.
